Teacher Cert Pathfinder

About

Your exact path from one state teaching licence to another — cited, dated, current.

Why this exists

Three overlapping frameworks — the Interstate Teacher Mobility Compact, the NASDTEC Interstate Agreement, and each state's own rules — govern what happens when a licensed teacher moves. Generic answers are wrong more often than they are right, and the free guides that rank for these questions are mostly years out of date, uncited, and confident.

We read the rules, quote them, date them, and say plainly when the published record does not answer a question.

What we sell, and what is free

The state overviews, corridor pages, framework explainers and the migration dataset are free and will stay free. A Pathway Pack will be $59: the full path for one corridor and one licence class, with 12 months of updates. None is on sale yet: each waits until the agency has answered the question its corridor turns on.

We are explicit about that because it is the honest version. An assistant with web access can assemble a decent answer to most of these questions. What it will not do is guarantee currency, cite every requirement to the rule as of a date, and stand behind updates for a year.

What we are not

Not a law firm. Not a certification agency. Not an application service. Not affiliated with any state department of education, with NASDTEC, or with the Council of State Governments. We have no relationship with any agency named on this site, and nothing here is legal advice.

Corrections

If a fact here is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will fix it and date the fix on the updates page. That page exists partly so the promise is checkable.
